Frage von Micsten: Can I use my spare Philips ADSL Wireless Router as a Repeater to extend range?
Hi, I currently have an Orange voip router setup for my wireless internet connection. It works ok, but the signal is very weak elsewhere in the house (downstairs for example).
I have a spare Philips ‘ADSL Wireless Base Station’, Model: SNA6500.
Is it possible to set this up to acts as a Wireless Repeater to boost the range of the existing wireless?

Probably not. Most integrated ADSL modem-routers cannot be used as repeaters.
I’m using a couple of Netgear WNR834B wireless routers, one connected to my cable modem and one in repeater mode. This setup works very well.
